Joint Higher Education Event 2024

Writer: David BennettDavid Bennett

– Building a Strategic Geoscience Alliance

The Geological Society, in partnership with University Geoscience UK, are hosting a joint higher education event on 15 May at Burlington House.

The overarching aim of the event is to bring together key stakeholders across the geosciences to showcase the critical role geoscience plays in our society. The event will highlight the main issues impacting the community and use this as an opportunity to establish and build a strategic alliance of stakeholders to work together to change negative perceptions, create influence and establish a widespread understanding of geoscience as fundamental to the modern world.

We’re very keen on having as many key stakeholders represented at the event, given the importance of the task at hand. This includes academia, industry, government, charity sector etc. Should you wish to attend or know of a colleague you feel may be better suited to engage with this please feel free to share the email.

You can register by clicking on the following link - https://shorturl.at/xGRV1 If you would like to discuss in more detail, please email me: george.jameson@geolsoc.org.uk
